WWA U.S. Nationals - Day 3 of 5

Kenosha, Wis.- Wakeboarding's future stars took the waters of Lake Andrea today to compete in the 2007 Air Nautique WWA Wakeboard National Championships. Riders as young as 10 to 18 years of age competed in their respective divisions, Boys (10-13), Jr. Men's (14-18), and Jr. Women's (14-18). Jr. Men and Jr. Women both competed in the semifinal rounds today, while the Boys division entered their quarterfinals.

Danni Petraitis (Redding, CA) and Holland Finley (Austin, TX) both led their heats in the Jr. Women's division. Both will proceed to tomorrow's finals along with the four other Jr. Women to advance past today's semifinals.

The Jr. Men's division completed their semifinals today with Alex Scagliotti (Bend, OR), Jimmy LaRiche (Boca Raton, FL), and Ryan Anderson (Norman, OK) leading their heats.

Braxton Tomlinson (Terreton, ID), Cooper Swink (Canyon Lake, CA), Jacob Valdez (Canyon Lake, CA), and Daniel Powers (Daniel Powers) each took the top spot in their heats for the Boys division during their quarterfinals.

Also the Pro Wakeskaters took to the water for their quarterfinals today with Floridians Matthew Manzari (Eustis), Reed Hansen (Groveland), Brandon Thomas (Orlando), Brian Grubb (Orlando) each leading their heats.

The Men's II division ended today with Zack Luckett (Brandon, MS) taking first-place in their final round of competition.

Day three concluded with the Pro Women's division taking to the waters for their quarterfinals. Aussie Amber Wing (Caringbah) and Floridian Dallas Friday (Orlando) lead their heats.

Tomorrow's competition will feature the semifinals for the Junior Boys, Boys, Pro Wakeskate, and Pro Women's divisions. The Pro Men's division will also ride tomorrow for their quarterfinals. Competition will begin at 8:00am.
